Greta Van Susteren Cleans Up in Aruba
Bringing a microphone and camera crew to the gates of an Aruba landfill this past week, Greta Van Susteren returned to the island that her nightly Fox News Channel program has figuratively called home recently. Van Susteren's "On the Record" has relentlessly followed the mysterious disappearance of 18-year-old Natalee Holloway of Alabama while on a graduation trip to Aruba in May.

Way to go Greta, use this tradgey to boost your ratings.

LOL, I'm going to agree with that. Although I do like Greta, it seems like this has been her one way track to success if you will, which is kind of a shame.

I love how Greta pretends she is a journalist. Peter Jennings died today and of course she has to put Natalee Holloway on a pedestal. Her show has become nothing but rumors and tabloids.

I commend Greta for staying the course. The longer Greta stays in Aruba, the longer the press coverage goes on and hopefully it will wear that arrogant prick down! Greta - You Go Girl! Now if the police investigators in Aruba wouldn't be such pansy-ass wimps, they might get somewhere! The police act like they are afraid of asking an 18 year old kid some tough questions. I think they should beat the shit out of him until he tells them what he did with the body!

I agree with Kathleen. I hope Greta sticks with it until the end. The ONLY reason that Natallee is being searched for is because of the press.... if the press leaves... the search stops!

well then maybe greta should get involved with cases that are happening in America too, not just the rich ones.

First of all.... the Holloways are not "RICH"! Everything that they are able to do is from DONATIONS!

Also, ARE you saying that our judical system is the same as the one in Aruba? If you are then you are WAY OFF!

I think law enforcement in the US works alot better. I truly believe our law enforcement would have had a confession way before now. They most likely would have put all three boys in separate rooms and had them convinced the other 2 were confessing. I know for certain that our cops aren't pansies who are afraid of 18 year old punks and their crooked Judge fathers!

it's not that she's rich, it's that she hot, blond, and above all WHITE. that's why she gets all of this coverage.

This is not a racist issue, this is not about Greta's career goals. This is a young girl who's mother (and family) are desperate to find out what has happened to her. She is not receiving attention because she is blonde or white or rich. Its a horror story of losing your child on foreign soil. I sense that Greta actually has compassion for this family and a little bit of the sleuth about her. I don't have the feeling Greta is out to improve her ratings, although that may be a side effect of the case. This would be the worst nightmare of any parent in their own country, but to lose your child in a foreign country and feel as if the entire investigation is against you reeks of the twilight zone.

I think it's amusing that tante always has to be the one who has the last word. Tante, you seem like a control watch, she'll respond, just to have the last word......

tante just doesn't get it, does she? She thinks all Americans are uneducated. I am sure the graduates of Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and all the other top rated universities in the U.S. might beg to differ with her. I'm not sure but as far as I know tante hasn't discovered a cure for cancer or world peace, so she's not as smart as she believes herself to be! At least the Americans posting on this board are smart enough to run spellcheck, tante can't even seem to do that! Oh wait, maybe they don't have spellcheck in po-dunk Holland!!

A judge on Thursday ordered the release of a Dutch teenager who has been jailed for nearly three months in the disappearance of an Alabama honors student and said he would be freed this weekend, the youth's father said.

Oh my goodness! Please let me apologize for the ignorant comments made by those of my country such as Mad or Tante. There is no excuse for such behavior. Most of the Dutch feel quite the contrary. We do support Nat her family and America in this case. And yes, I do think that those who are guilty should be punished to the full extent of the law. I do hope that now that they’ve released Joran that he’ll slip up and say something that will cause him and whoever else is responsible to be convicted and punished for this haneous act. And like many of you I do believe that he and the Kalpoe brothers and Paul are all probably guilty. They just look too suspicious and have lied way too much. And the witness that said he saw them all at the dump together had no reason to lie or make up that story so I for one do believe him. I don’t know why Paul’s wife doesn’t divorce him, I see him out with a different woman every night that I see him. But please don’t judge all of us by the few stupid people on here that make such comments. I can see that you all have your share of that to. That Steve charachter’s post are really annoying, offensive, and silly. We all need to just ignore all these ignorant folks and maybe they’ll go somewhere else. I do enjoy reading everyone’s different views on this case and respect everyone’s right to express them, although people that make insulting and ignorant comments such as Mad or Steve are uncalled for. And what all Mad accused you Americans of doing, such as all of the luxury stuff and whatever else he has said, we are guilty of doing all the same things. Bottom line is that none of us are perfect so people like Mad should not be complaining and pointing fingers. Well, the best of luck to Natalee’s family. My hopes and prayer go out to you.
